Resiliency

Resiliency – a much celebrated word these days. Generally it means the capacity to quickly recover from difficulties or When something / someone can return to their original state after facing any kind of adversity.

At my previous workplaces, resiliency has often been discussed in plenty of meetings and incorporated in sessions, workshops and through numerous other ways. Unfortunately, I always noticed that we greatly undermine the meaning of resilience when we say that it’s the ability to bounce back in face of adversities.

The truth is that not only it helps you to bounce back but it also has a profound impact on your life forever. It therefore shapes you as a person. It brings out a better you, after you face the difficulties. Like the diamond gets formed out of a coal piece.

It’s a transformational change, which might not make you bounce back only but maybe bounce you forward and way ahead. And the best part, it can be learnt.
